xv, 301 pages. Red cloth with titles and decorations in gilt. All plates present. Cloth rubbed, sunned, stained, and split for 1.5 inches along upper joint from top. Publisher's red stain to all edges that, due to dampsaining, has bled through to interior margins of many pages. By far the most pervasive is seen on the frontispiece. Red and/or beige tideline present on most leaves but not particularly obtrusive. Front board bowed. Offsetting to endpapers; gift inscriptions to front free endpaper. Binding remains sound.
