True first British printing. No jacket as issued. Includes one page of publisher's adverts to rear. Dark blue boards with (faded) yellow lettering to spine and black lettering to front are good with pushing/bumping to corners, the odd small mark, crease to spine (book has been read), little patchy rubbing to edges, the odd small bump and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/tiny splits to the cloth) to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Rough cut page edges, tops and bottoms. Previous owner's name and date in pen to front end-paper. Pages little tanned. Inside boards/end-papers bit tanned with the odd small mark/minor foxing. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages.
