Being the Most Interesting Work Ever Presented to the Catholic Public."} Daniel William Cahill (1796-1864), was a noted Irish-American educator and lecturer. An ordained Roman Catholic priest, he strongly opposed the established Church of Ireland. He raised vast sums of money from the Irish diaspora that implemented his good works. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition, which is uncommon. Brown cloth binding, decoratively stamped, with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 392 pages; with a contemporary signature on the FFEP. The text is very bright and clear, with occasional and minor spotting; pages somewhat stiff to turn. The covers are rather worn-looking,with bumped corners, but are sound. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.…
