X, 221 pp. Bibliographic information, indices, glossary. Octavo. Cream paper dust jacket with pink photo of cuneiform tablet. Some slight shelf wear and sunning to the DJ, book itself is clean and unmarked. The typeface of this book is clear and sharp but very small, done in dreadful late 1970s style -- readable but annoying. "Recent studies have shown that there is a considerable inheritance of cuneiform traditions in the Aramaic legal papyri from Egypt, and a better knowledge of the Neo-Assyrian sources through which these influences were transmitted is an obvious necessity. The chief objective of this book is to make these texts more generally accessible." ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 221 pages.
