Hardback. First Edition. Very slight foxing to end inside covers and edge. In this, the fourth in the series of volumes containing the most popular articles from two years' issue of The Field magazine, there is much that will entertain, educate, amuse and stimulate readers' reactions. They cover topics old and new, including all the traditional pursuits like fishing, shooting and hunting, wild-life, flora and fauna, village fetes, cottage gardens and even good British apple pie! Less bucolic topics are discussed too, such as the demise of certain forms of headgear, the enduring nature of a marque of car, the current revival of steam motive power and the perennial problem of making a property burglar-proof when absent. Illustrations. 144 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
