Description:
A near fine copy, in a very good unclipped dust jacket, of the first UK edition. The green cloth binding is clean and unworn, with strong silver lettering to the spine. Everything is sound and tight, with square unbumped corners. The contents are clean and bright with no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. There is a little browning to the end-papers. The lovely pictorial dust jacket is unclipped (4/6 net), and shows moderate edgewear with small losses to the spine ends to a maximum half-inch. It has been reinforced along the top edge with clear tape and is now protected in a removable mylar cover. From the blurb: "Signor Moravia has contrived a story which is as ingenious as it is fantastic, and which proceeds with increasing momentum to a climax genuinely macabre". Seller Inventory # NT000731
