Item description from seller

[Literature] REVISED EDITION. Octavo (21 x 15cm), pp.190; [2]. Publisher's red cloth lettered in gilt to spine. Seven illustrations throughout, mostly facsimiles of the title pages from first editions of Kipling's works. Toning to edges of text block, toning to endpapers, sunning and rolling to spine, some bumping to corners. Very good. Monkshood asks 'Why should there be any apology necessary for one more very little book upon the greatest living author? Certainly no apology is needed'. He aims to shed light on the 'less familiar but still interesting or entrancing phases of [Kipling's] life and work.' This book was first published in 1917 and this revised edition was published in 1922.
