First US paperback edition. Originally published in the US by Rinehart in 1946. The spine has some edge rubbing, surface wrinkling and slight chipping at the top and bottom. The book has also been produced so that the title panel on the spine is slightly over onto the back cover. Otherwise only slight surface and edge wear to the covers. Pages browned but otherwise unmarked. First printing. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed. Seller Inventory # 020473
