FIRST UK EDITION. 8vo. Original red cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Rubbed, bruising and wear to extremities, marks to upper board. Toned, Andrew Sarnowski's 1961 inscription to himself in red biro on ffep, noting: "A present to myself again. broke again: it was good while it lasted!". Good+ Faulkner's WWI novel, which took more than a decade and a tremendous effort to write, was the first title to win both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award.
