This is a phenomenally rare UK first edition hardcover published by Sampson Low, Marston & Co in 1948, by Manly Wellman. The jacket is in lovely condition for its 70+ years age. It is nice, bright and unfaded and also unclipped (8s 6d net). It does, however, have a chip from the top front corner and rubbing to the extremities along the spine. But overall - beautiful. The book is about Fine with straight spine, sharp corners and firm spine ends. The only issue preventing a full-on Fine description is the page toning. The copyright page does not state the year of publication or edition state, as was typical in those days. Seller Inventory # 010216

Shipping Terms:

I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. Tracking is NOT provided automatically on UK parcels - you have to choose priority mail AND pay an additional �7 postage on top.
