Item description from seller

First edition - first printing, published as a paperback original (PBO) in 1968g. ***Very good in illustrated grey matt card covers. The covers have a stain at the bottom of the spine, and top edge of the front cover, but not affecting the interior pages which are clean. The covers are rubbed and creased at the extremities, commensurate with age and handling. Please note also there is a bump to the top outer corner of the page block which has creased the top corners of the last 50 or so pages (please see scans). With a small 50p price label on the back cover. No reading lean to the binding. Fragile covering on the spine rubbed and browned but intact. Page block edges slightly marked. Internally also very good with no inscriptions and clean pages. Pages bright. ***204mm x 128mm. 305 pages. ***SPEECHES made by Major Fidel Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Prime Minister of the Revolutionary Government at different acts celebrated from the year 1965 to the year 1968 (Stenographic Department of the Revolutionary Government). ***'Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (13 Aug 1926 - 25 Nov 2016) was a Cuban politician and revolutionary who was the leader of Cuba from 1959 to 2008, serving as the prime minister of Cuba from 1959 to 1976 and president from 1976 to 2008. Ideologically a Marxist–Leninist and Cuban nationalist, he also served as the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba from 1965 until 2011. Under his administration, Cuba became a one-party communist state; industry and business were nationalized, and socialist reforms were implemented throughout society.' (Wiki) ***A tribute to the charismatic leader Fidel Castro - in very good original condition, albeit with the above mentioned faults. Quite a fragile production. A very uncommon book - reproduced by photo-lithography. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.
