First edition. Twenty trail-blazing science fiction stories of the future, revised here from their original publications in the Post, by great thinking authors of the time, including Gerald Kersh, Robert Heinlein, Conrad Richter, Philip Wylie, Geoffrey Household, Ward Moore, Will F. Jenkins and more. Short author biographies and story information by Miranda head each story. Giftable collectible. A touch of fading to the spine, else near fine, square, and tight in hot-apricot linen with blue embossed planet & stars art to the front cover, blue embossed titles to the spine, white headband and tail-band, peach end-papers; in a near fine dust jacket with primitive flame-propelled rocket art to the front panel, with a few edge tears, and with minuscule nicks and rubs to the upper and lower spine edges; original printed $7.95 price still intact to the front inner flap. Octavo; 311 pages. The dust jacket will be placed in a clear, removable protective sleeve after scanning for this entry.
