Rare original 1896 1st edition of "Experiments Upon the Contraction of the Liquid Vein, Issuing from an Orifice, and upon the Distribution of the Velocities Within It." The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. The covers have some light wear. The binding is good and sound. There is some minor staining to the endpapers and evidence of bookplate removal to the front pastedown. The interior is lightly toned from age but generally nice and clean, though there may be the occasional page with a light bit of foxing, grubbiness, or some other kind of minor imperfection such as a tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, minor marking, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 9 1/4 inches by 6 7/8 inches and is 62 pages long with a folding plate at the rear as well as some additional pages of book ads.
