Two folding maps and a portfolio of 63 plates of black and white photographic illustrations, and pencil sketch reproductions of the members of the expedition including frontispiece, 288pp. Blue cloth covered boards lettered in gilt, a little tired, with repaired wear at the head and tail of spine, scattered foxing to the preliminaries and finals but generally limited to the edges and margins, still a firm and sound copy of the first edition. 20 x 14cm.
