First Edition, Second Printing. Minor bumping to top and bottom of DJ spine and some shelf rubbing to dark blue DJ cover, elsewise a bright, clean, tight copy sans rips/tears, stains other markings or discoloration. "The Encyclopedia of Native American Religions" is the first in-depth, one volume reference for the general reader that explores this fascinating subject, reclaiming it from the periphery of American religious and historical study. Native American beliefs have persisted for centuries-despite a long history of suppression by governments and missionaries-and have endured as dignified, profound, viable and richly faceted religions. More than 1,200 entries in this work describe traditional beliefs and practices, the consequences of contact with Europeans and other Americans, and the forms Native American religions take today." 367 pages. *NOTE: Due to size/weight of the book additional shipping will be required for out-of-U.S. or expedited shipping.
