London: Hamilton, Adams, and Co., 1880. First Edition. Octavo (7" x 5"); xiv, 234 +6 ads. Two foldouts (map and wage chart). Publisher's black and gilt stamped brown cloth with dark brown spine. Covers edgeworn with some corner creasing, smudging, and soiling. First gathering (including map) disbound. Map cleanly torn along part of center fold, with wage map at back showing a puncture at center. Pages toned as expected with occasional foxing, but unmarked. Binding after the first gathering is sound. Not ex-library. Jones, who at time of publication served as US Consul in Newcastle, was formerly a soldier and later served briefly in Parliament, representing Carmarthan Boroughs. Shipping Terms:

We ship packages daily using sturdy boxes with bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Older and rare books are generally wrapped first in non-reactive butcher paper. We generally automatically buy insurance for items $500 or over at no extra cost, but are happy to add it to less expensive items as well if desired.
