Written by George 'Slim' Lewis, an elephant handler who ran away to join the circus at sixteen.Complete with an unclipped dust wrapper.Illustrated with photographs throughout.Acquired from the sale of Paul Gallico's library. Paul Gallico was an American novelist best known for 'The Snow Goose' and 'The Poseidon Adventure'. With Gallico's annotations and underlining. With a review by Ernest Hemingway on the spine describing the work as 'first-rate'.An exciting autobiography detailing the lives of these remarkable creatures.
