A good copy in contemporary calf with wear to the spine and some scattered foxing. 312pp. with folding coloured plan frontispiece, 2 further folding plans and i full page + many line engravings in text. The title page dated 1806 with a Dedication dated 1809.Alfred Crocker (1742 - 1821) was the surveyor and printer master of the Bluecoat School, the mathematics school at Christ's Hospital especifically for training boys in naviagtion for the Royal Navy.
