German First Edition. Gaspey–Otto–Sauer. Two rare early 20th-century language textbooks from the famous Gaspey–Otto–Sauer method, specially adapted for Serbian learners by Vojislav Petrovitch. 1. Elementarna gramatika francuskog jezika (Petite grammaire française à l’usage des Serbes), Heidelberg: Julius Groos, 1907. 2. Elementarna gramatika engleskog jezika (Elementary English Grammar for the Use of Servians), Heidelberg: Julius Groos, 1908. Both are first editions, published in Heidelberg, with the original covers preserved. These editions are extremely scarce and represent a unique witness of early 20th-century linguistic pedagogy and cultural exchange between Serbia and Western Europe. Ex libris stamps present (Roger Thibau). Condition: good, some wear to wrappers and minor foxing consistent with age, overall well preserved for over 115 years. A valuable addition for collectors of rare linguistic works, Gaspey–Otto–Sauer method publications, or Balkan educational history.
