First Spanish edition. Translated by J. Rubia Barcia. Octavo. 8pp. Blue printed wrappers. Text laid into wrappers. Faint tanning on spine, else a near fine, bright copy. Edwin Rolfe was born Solomon Fishman, the son of Jewish immigrants from Russia. He was a member of the Communist party, and wrote for The Daily Worker. He published his first book of poems, *To My Contemporaries,* in 1936. Edwin Rolfe was blacklisted in 1947, and spent much of the rest of his life struggling against McCarthyism, reflected in his poems with anti-American sentiment. He died in 1954. Author Clayton Eshleman's copy, with his ink signature: "Clayton Eshleman. Los Angeles 1974" on front flyleaf. Seller Inventory # 513796
