xxxii, 310, ii, with two frontispiece diagrams. Pages clean, with a few pencil markings in text; notes in pencil and ink to the back endpapers, and a 1918 ownership name in pencil to the front free endpaper. A much-handled copy, but it seems firm. Small volume, 17x11cms, in its original binding of grained navy cloth titled in gilt. The cloth has bubbled and is quite loose on the boards but is firmly attached at the edges. Corners and spine ends are bumped and scuffed, foot of spine fraying. An adequate reading copy of the rare original edition. [I have other titles by this author, which can be viewed on my website.].
