National Archives describes them: …The reports, each headed A Report of the State of the Blue Coat Hospital in Liverpool, were published annually and give the number of pupils in the school with an analysis of their circumstances (e.g. fatherless, orphans, etc.), accounts for the past year and lists of subscribers and trustees.
