First edition (not stated per publisher's usual practice). Unpaged - 48 pages plus covers. Staple-bound paperback: H 20.25cm x L 20.25cm. White paper covers; negligible nicks at spine ends with light abrasion along spine fold. Interior pages are bright and clean. Binding is firm. A near fine copy of an uncommon publication. Foreword by Donna Dye, Director of the State Historical Museum. Introduction by museum curator and close Welty friend Patti Carr Black. Concludes with a biographical essay and selected list of Welty's published works. Published as a catalogue for a 1995 exhibition of Eudora Welty's photographs at the Mississippi State Historical Museum. Features twenty of Welty's b/w photographs on rectos with titles, locals, and dates provided on the opposing versos. The images are of places other than her native Mississippi and hence the title; the first ten are images of New York City all dated from 1939 with the other ten being of various New Orleans French Quarter and Mardi Gras scenes from 1936. The booklet's 1995 publication precluded its inclusion within Noel Polk's EUDORA WELTY; A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF HER WORK. Description copyright David Hallinan, Bookseller. ISBN 093889675X.…
