Published in London in 1833, this is the uncommon First Edition of this work on Roman Villas by well known mapmaker Thomas Moule, Bound in the original cloth with later replacement cloth spine, just under 9.5 inches tall, 179 pages, illustrated with a frontispiece and one further plate. The original cloth is sinned and faded, light marks and mild bubbling of the cloth, internally old ownership names to title page and frontispiece tissue guard, fitted with new endpapers, noticeable foxing to opening and closing few pages, a few pencilled side lines which could be easily erased if desired else in good general condition.
