To help finance their early rocket experiments, the idea of carrying messages by rocket was used. The first to do this was Friedrich Schmeidl of Austria in 1928. He was thus responcible for the world's first rocket mail. 245 pages of cover images with value information, plus several pages of ads in the rear. Bound in blue buckram lettered in gilt.
