Item description from seller

A very scarce work on economics regarding not running into debt. Bound without half-title.George Whitmore preached this work before the University of Cambridge in January 1800.The advertisement at the start of the work notes that profits of the sale of this work 'will be given to the Society for maintaining the poor Orphans of the Clergy, and to the Society of Philanthropic Reform'.A very scarce work, which advertises itself as a 'plain, practical, discourse, on a useful subject'. Recently rebound in a full cloth binding. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Just the odd spot. Fine.
