FIRST EDITION. Half title with book list on verso, 24pp cata. (February, 1910). Partially uncut in orig. green cloth, blocked in blind, lettered in black & white, spine lettered in gilt; extremities sl. worn, a few marks to rear board, but still a nice copy. Not in Glover & Greene. Hubin p.155. The dark underbelly of the English upper classes is exposed in this tale of murder, betrayal, and inheritance. A.C. Fox-Davies, 1871-1928, was a heraldry expert, journalist, and author of several detective stories.
