Generally attributed to Defoe though some questions regarding this attribution have been raised by Furbank and Owen. Moore 422 (for the 1719 edition) who writes that this was supposedly an account of the life and thoughts of an obscure Cornishman based upon his original papers but that it is actually related to Defoe's other political prophecies Roan-backed printed limp boards. Binding rubbed, darkened, outer corner of upper cover missing,a few short marginal tears, C gathering foxed, other browning and soiling mostly marginal, else very good 23 pp, followed by 1 page "Tracts Printed and Sold by George Smeeton".
