As new condition glossy color illustrated softcover wraps. Includes Author Dedication; Acknowledgments; Preliminary Page entitled The Druid's Sense and About the Author. Signed and inscribed by the author, Nicholas Checker, with black pen on the half title page. "Druids is an awesome read! If you're a fantasy lover like myself, then Druids is a must. This book has it all.action, romance, memorable characters and plot twists. But even more importantly, a great story. Hollywood, if you're listening, I'd buy a ticket to this movie!" - Jason Filardi, Hollywood screenwriter. "Druids is a medieval fantasy adventure of an isolated lad born with an eerie sense that earns him the suspicion and contempt of those who fail to see it as a gift. He joins with two renowned knights - both caught up in a terse gender rivalry - while on a perilous quest to liberate a ruined land from a druid-lord's deranged sorcery. It raises images of a nerve-wracking game of chess come to life: a broken castle, a captive queen in dire need of being released, a dread knight whose very name terrorizes foes, and underling foot-soldiers deemed "pons" -- who yet harbor a latent strenght of their own. And rippling through the saga, like a whispery breeze, is the mysterious Cyrptic Sense - possessed by those destined to become druids. A blend of ancient beliefs like animism and the early science of alchemy - and draped in the Native American spiritualism of Manitou - the Cryptic Sense of this tale explores the tight bond between druids and nature." - from the rear outer cover.…

Store description
Vero Beach Books is an antiquarian bookseller with a constantly updated inventory of rare out-of-print books, signed books, children's books, plus a large inventory of ephemeral items such as major U.S. city newspapers going back 100 years and more, golden and silver age fine condition comic books (soon to be added), and many other ephemeral items as well as much more recent popular volumes. We have been in business for 25 years, originally known as Emerson Books (named after one of our owner's favorite authors, to wit, Ralph Waldo Emerson) located back then in Westport, Connecticut. That said, we are here to serve you, to offer you fine quality items that are conservatively described so that you will always be pleasantly surprised and delighted with your purchase. Twenty-five years in the bookselling business has borne out our stellar service oriented reputation; the only difference is that now we are located in the almost always sunny and warm climate of Vero Beach, Florida. Again, we are here to serve you and, as was the case when we were previously known on ABEBooks.com as Emerson Books, we will continue to offer our very popular 100% free search service for those hard to find books rare and out of print books. Oftentimes we are also able to obtain these rare finds at very good discounts to our customers' so it is always worth contacting us in such cases!
