Board corners and spine ends rubbed and bumped with toning to all margins as well as spine. Endsheets offset and lightly finger smudged. Pages lightly toned at margins but otherwise clean. A Very Good copy of Macdonald's second novel featuring his hard-boiled detective Lew Archer. The book was made into a film of the same name in 1975 starring Paul Newman. Seller Inventory # 32624
