Bound in dark marbled paper over boards with tan cloth backstrip; paper labels on upper board and on spine. Bottom tips gently bumped, owner "please return" rubber stamp on front free endpaper, some pages uncut along fore edge; otherwise an excellent copy with sound endpapers. Dust jacket, which has a wrap around map in green and blue, has minor wear at the tips and at ends of spine panel, and is slightly faded on spine panel. First Nation's story set along the Skeena River in northern British Columbia. 13 colour plates by A. Y. Jackson, Edwin H. Holgate, W. Langdon Kihn, Emily Carr, and Annie D. Savage, all present.
