Complete first edition, first issue, in 2 volumes, volume 1 being issued in 1889 and volume 2 in 1897. Volume 1 has a 217-page text in good, tight condition, with no inscriptions, browning of the blank end papers, and very light, even age-toning elsewhere. Volume 2 similar, with 190 pages. Top page edges gilt. Bindings in matching dark-green cloth with gilt titles on spines and gilt arms of Hampshire Record Society on front panels, in very good, tight condition. Slight wear to spine of volume 1. Folding frontispiece in each volume, folding map and other illustrations. Weight 1220g. See photographs attached. (H-38).
