About this Item
A very good copy of the extremely rare first hard cover edition of Bonar's charming book, lacking a dust-jacket. Save for one previous owner's name written modestly in ink atop the front free endpaper the text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the green cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine is remarkably bright and fresh in appearance, with some very slightly rippling of the cloth along the bottom and side edges of the front and rear cover panels (see the scan), which may be a binding flaw, since there is no evidence of moisture damage to the endpapers. A brilliant copy. Seller Inventory # 007306
