Chapters herein include rebuttals to critics of his earlier work "Climate and Time", secular changes in climate, the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, consideration of Alfred Russel Wallace's climate theories, causes of mild polar climates and interglacial periods, heat in relation to glacier motion, solar age and heat, the origin of nebulae, and more. ***CONDITION: This is a complete, Fine copy bound in the original brown cloth with gilt titles and decoration on the front cover and backstrip. The covers and spine are pristine, with scant evidence of use. Joints and hinges solid, binding very firm. The text pages and map are likewise immaculate: fresh, clean, and bright. Contemporary ex-library blind stamps are on the title page and elsewhere; withdrawal ticket on a rear endpaper. No external markings.
