The text of this epic poem, the chief source of the Dionysiac cycle of legends, is clean and bright. The blindstamped full-calf binding is in need of repair. The spine has a 1.5in section of loss at the top of the spine, not affecting the title, and a similar section of loss at the base of the spine. The front board has two small areas where the surface of the leather has been chipped away, each about 0.5in across. The corners of the boards are rubbed. The photographs should elucidate the description. A good copy of this fifth century Egyptian poet's famous epic poem. Seller Inventory # 001433
