(London; Oxford University Press 1927). Publisher's light brown cloth with black portrait and gilt titles to front and spine. Mary Strange Reeve illustrator. Colour frontispiece with 4 other full page black and white plates. A tiny bump to the top right- hand corner of the front board otherwise a near fine copy which is solidly bound with no inscriptions and no foxing. The scarce original first issue dustwrapper has minor fraying/rubbing at the spine ends (un-necessarily reinforced with scotch tape on the verso by a former owner) and is faded to the spine but is unclipped (no price shown). In exceptionally good condition for its 90+ years! The last school story in the Dimsie series. Very uncommon in dustwrapper (indeed the first we have handled).
