"What makes a young man of twenty years risk public ridicule and scorn to avoid fighting? Is it cowardice or bravery, stupidity or sanity, principle or wrong-headedness? A Different Drummer is not a political essay, but a powerful novel about the conscience of Australian youth." Mass market paperback. Printed in Australia. Binding cracked in middle (with a couple of pages loose as result, though all complete), slight handling wear, former owner's small ink stamp to first page & tiny handwritten ink number to inside rear cover, otherwise a nice clean softcover copy. 220pp. Uncommon.
