Item description from seller

First edition, first impression, first state (lettered in white to the backstrip); Fleming's first non-fiction title, based on research undertaken for Diamonds are Forever. Near Fine: tight and square binding in sharp black cloth; tanned to the edge of the page block with a trace of dustiness to the top-edge and a tiny area of browning to the fore-edge; a few minor marks to the prelims, else crisp and clean. The unclipped dustwrapper (12s 6d net stated) is Very Good: bright panels with some sunning and toning to the spine, as is common; rubbed to the spine tips and corners with a little fraying to the head of the spine; three closed tears (around 1.5 to 1cm), sealed to the verso with professional mending tissue; a touch of browning to the front flap; presented in a removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover. All orders are sent carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
