Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as indicated by the publisher's (1) on the last page of text, a splendid copy of this tribute to the 82nd Airborne Division who were described as "those devils in baggy pants" by a German army officer in his diary, the book looks new except for two minor flaws: a small wrinkled area at bottom edge of spine and moderate tanning to the margins of pages 84-85 apparently caused by a newspaper article, the jacket is also in great shape, a small amount of edge-wear at the spine-ends and some light rubbing are the only remarkable flaws, the jacket is bright and clean with no chips or tears, the original price (3.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included.
