Nice copy of this 1st edition, 1st printing Bound in quarter leather with black decorated boards. xvi + [8] + 624pp, illustrated with 73 plates, 2 fold out maps ( placed at pp 147, not at rear ). Marbled end papers, armorial plate on front paste down. Some staining mainly to prelim's and 6 pages at rear, some foxing throughout. A 2 inch tear to one page. No inscriptions. A handsome tome.
