Prior to joining Whirlpool, Mr. Kerber served as Vice President of advanced Technology and Business Development of McDonnell Douglas Corporation [and before that was], Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Advanced Technology and as a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the Department of Defense. His fields of specialty are in the areas of engineering management, new product development, procurement management, and laser physics.he was a professor of electrical and mechanical engineering and associate dean of graduate studies and research at Michigan State University.He serves as Member of the Defense Science Board at United States Department Of Defense.He has published more than 60 technical articles and is the recipient of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, the Michigan State University Teacher Scholar Award, the Purdue University Distinguished Engineering Alumni, and Outstanding Aerospace Engineer Award. He was a NASA Fellow at the California Institute of Technology. Mr. Kerber holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and Masters and Doctorate degrees in Engineering Science from the California Institute of Technology. Very good.
