The first history of The Chemists' Club was published in 1948 and covered the first 50 years of the club's existence. This present book was published in 1957 and it is an account of six decades instead of five and adds a bit to the facts of the first history of the club. This club history reflects the growth of the science of chemistry and the chemical industries in the New York area and across the nation. The club has benefited from this and has contributed in a unique way by providing a congenial atmosphere where leaders of science, education and industry came together to discuss their common problems and hopes.
