Fine first edition in green cloth in a fine dust jacket illustrated with Jones' wood engraving entitled 'Everyman'. David Jones was a complex artist, working in water colours and the written word. He was concerned with religious questions of incarnation and crucifixion and had a belief in the calming, consoling and healing power of 'the feminine'. Laid in illustrated card of 'Mabinog's Wolf' illustrated by actor Tom Durham who thanks Dr Christopher Armstrong for his encouragement.
