Item description from seller

[ART]. Luis Jacob. "A Dance for Those of Us Whose Hearts Have Turned to Ice, Based on the Choreography of Francoise Sullivan and the Sculpture of Barbara Hepworth." Kassel, DE: Documenta 12, 2007. First edition. English and French languages. Stapled paper zine printed dos-a-dos in French and English. Text with footnotes and colophon. 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. 1 oz. 12 pp. Text clean. No issues. Fine. No ISBN. No ASIN. "Jacob?s work explores the relationship between sculpture and dance, and takes its inspiration from two seemingly disparate art historical sources: the sculpture of British artist Barbara Hepworth, and the choreography of Quebecois artist Francoise Sullivan. Sullivan?s performance of 'Danse dans la neige' in 1948 was a seminal event in the history of modern dance in Canada. 'A Dance for Those of Us Whose Hearts Have Turned to Ice' pays homage to this legendary work of modern Canadian art.".
