small folio ca. 9.5" x 13.5", half bound in early oliver green cloth with marbled paper covered boards with a little shelf wear, but generally very good. Ink stamps, small spine label and small amount of writing inside suggest it is from a company library in Germany. Contents are 12 monthly issues with numbered text pages 1- 236 Each monthly issue normally has a supplement- a stiff page with numerous samples of thread, or fabic illustrating various dyes. In this year the Jan. issue has 3, April and August have 2. The page for Feb. is in the March issue - possible issued that way, but could be an error during binding the volume, for a total of 15. In General these sample are in very good condition- only a few show significant offsetting to neighboring pages or deterioration from the chemical dyes they display. Overall, all a very good copy. A scarce reference for the history of textile technology. Note: due to size and weight shipping outside the USA may cost more than an average book.
