Item description from seller

First edition - first printing - published as a paperback original. A bilingual collection in Italian and English. ***A near fine copy in white card illustrated covers, with a flat spine, printed in black and shades of grey. There are no obvious faults - no rubbing, creasing bumps or tears - just some light handling marks to the covers. No bumps or creases. No fading. Internally also near fine with no previous ownership inscriptions or annotations. Printed on nice paper. ***195mm x 145mm. 72 printed pages plus a page of author bios and printer's details at the back of the book. ***'Guy Bennett was born in Los Angeles. After studies in art, music, languages and literature, he graduated with a PhD in French literature from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1993. Bennett has worked as a musician, teacher, translator, typographer, and book designer. He joined the faculty of Otis College of Art and Design in 1999. He was guest of honor of the Oulipo in 2024. Bennett’s early collections of poetry were written from source texts via the use of constraints. “His writing,” Douglas Messerli has noted, “often has formal systems quietly embedded in it, but the poetry itself is influenced by a wide range of interests: music --- photography, film, architecture, and, as one might expect, the languages and literatures of other countries".' (Wiki) ***First printing of the true first edition, in virtually fine condition. Published as a paperback original. A nicely produced bilingual poetry book. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.…
