Item description from seller

iv + 24 pages of advertising, pages numbered 487-510, black and white photographs, drawings by Frank Patterson ('the Cycling artist'). Published May 13, 1932, issue number 2154, volume LXXXIII of the Cycling magazine, which survives as 'Cycling Weekly', having been first published on 24 January 1891. Frank Patterson was an illustrator whose impeccable drawings first appeared in a November issue in 1893. His last illustration appeared in 1952. Patterson was known for his meticulous treatment of the bicycle, especially the elusive ellipses, and his ability to capture different species of trees. It was said a Patterson Oak could never be mistaken for an Elm. In this particular issue, his drawings include a fine full-page illustration on the title-page, and an illustration showing the White Horse at Westbury - not a pub, but cut into the chalk hill. Stapled paper covers, pages brown as usual, otherwise a very good copy.
