A VERY GOOD, clean, tight, scholar/collector-worthy copy sans rips/tears, stains, interior markings or discoloration. PROLIFICALLY ILLUSTRATED in full color photography (many full page) with accompanying descriptive captions. "Stretching from the outskirts of our solar system, through the distant fields of stars and galaxies, lie the mysterious structures of deepest space. Massive red giant stars. Super-hot white dwarfs. Invisible black holes that warp the very shape of space. Tiny, flashing pulsars, once thought to be the searchlights of alien navigators. Combining a fascinating narrative with more than 100 vivid illustrations, Hartmann and Miller synthesize science and art to depict the fiery cycles that light the universe. Basing their work on scientific data, including the provocative evidence of planet-size worlds around other suns, the authors tell the mesmerizing story of cosmic evolution and reveal dazzling starscapes created especially for this book." 189 pages. NOTE: Due to size/weight of book additonal shipping cost may be required for out-of-U.S. shipment in accordance with destination. GG2.…
