Original cloth with gilt title on cover, 181 pages + ads, cover soiled with a minor spine fade, copy photo attached as a frontis of either Powell or Mathey, no frontis is called for. Signature of Edward G. Mathey on the title page. Mathey was in charge of the pack train at the Little Big Horn fight. Duties, responsibilities, customs, orders, etc. Basically states what is required of the different ranks, operations, movements, etc. A scarce item in the first printing, especially nice with a Little Big Horn survivor signature.
