New York, 1873, fifty-five plates plus adverts, one advert in color, clay colored cloth, 14.25 x 11.25 , folio. In good condition. Light wear to extremities with scuffing to corners and edges. Light wear to spine with crushing and minor loss to ends. Gilt lettering bright and clean. Light soiling overall to surface of cloth. Rear board has small patch of bubbling, discoloration at bottom edge. Bookplate of Maurice Robert Des Marais on front end pastedown. Des Marais was a longtime faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Penn State College of Arts and Architecture and a corporate member of the American Institute of Architects. Light toning throughout text with minor instances of foxing. Free of known markings. Binding tight and intact. Sound. Offsetting from adverts in rear. Please see photos. 1st edition, scarce.
